Arthur J. Ochoa joined Cedars-Sinai Health System in 2001. Since his appointment as chief development officer in 2004, Cedars-Sinai has raised more than $800 million in philanthropic support. In addition to leading every aspect of Cedars-Sinai’s fundraising, Art is also responsible for all of the health system’s marketing and communications functions and community benefit strategies and activities, as well as other externally-related functions.

Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Art practiced corporate and tax law at two of Los Angeles' most respected firms — O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Irell & Manella LLP.

Art is president of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Early Education, a socio-economically and culturally diverse independent elementary school in West Hollywood. He is also vice-chair of the boards of both Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. He is a director of the Pacific Council on International Policy and he is an honorary trustee of the Mexican American Bar Foundation. Art is also a past chairman of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Tax Exempt Organization Committee.

Art is a graduate of the University of Southern California (cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and the Yale Law School.

A native southern Californian, Art is a member of Downey High School’s Hall of Fame.
