What is the Cedars-Sinai Employee Giving Program?

The Cedars-Sinai Employee Giving Program is a way for all employees to champion the Cedars-Sinai mission by giving back to help support one of our hundreds of research projects or initiatives to help the Los Angeles community.

Is there a minimum gift to be part of the Employee Giving Program?

No! Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. The minimum gift for payroll deduction per pay period is $1 however.

How can a small donation make a difference?

Every donation makes a difference. Contributions from the Employee Giving Program make it possible for Cedars-Sinai to provide care for people who cannot afford it; to reach out to employees experiencing financial challenges; and to conduct lifesaving research. Many of these programs are not reimbursed by insurance or government funding.

Where does my contribution go?

You get to choose! We have listed the most popular funds on the form, however we have an “other” section for you to write in an area of research or patient care where you would like the money to go. 100 percent of your donation goes directly to the cause you select. No dollars collected go towards administrative costs of the Cedars-Sinai Employee Giving Program.

Will I be recognized for my gift?

Absolutely. All employee donors receive a personal thank-you letter from our President and CEO Tom Priselac. In addition, you will be invited to an Employee Giving Appreciation Event. You also have the option of giving anonymously.

How do I make a donation?

The simplest way is through payroll deduction. You can set up automatic deductions each pay period. You can fill out a form online through the Employee Giving Site on the intranet or send a paper form to Community Relations, North Tower, Suite 2416.

I already give. How do I change the amount?

You can change the amount anytime by sending an email to groupemployeegivingprogram@cshs.org. You can also make a one-time gift by check, credit card or online.

I already donate. Do I need to do anything?

Your payroll deductions will continue unless you notify us in writing. If you wish to change the amount of your contribution or the program you support, simply use the donation form.

How do I track my payroll deductions?

On your pay stub, under “Taxes/ Deductions,” a line item will indicate the program you support, with a total of all donations you’ve made to date.

May I stop my payroll deductions?

The process for stopping payroll deductions is easy. Simply contact the Payroll Department at 323-866-8500.

When you give anonymously, your name will be listed as anonymous and you will not receive any emails about upcoming events.
